Getting a better understanding of NAATI CCL test
Introduction
The Credentialed Community Language Test (CCL) is an assessment of your language abilities via a conversation between two native speakers from English into Language Other Than English(LOTE) at a community level.
The CCL Test is generally taken by the candidates who are looking to lodge a point-based visa application. On successfully passing the exam, the candidates will be awarded five bonus points.(189 visa;190 visa;489 visa)
The rules for taking the exam

Candidates should have a computer, laptop or tablet with a camera and microphone.

The test room should be free of distractions, background noise and other people. And the environment will be checked before the test.

Other devices should be turned off during the exam.

Candidates should provide their identity such as driver’s license or passport.

The video of the process will be recorded.

All the candidates should be logged in on time and will not be tested if they are late.
Equipment requirement

Computer or laptop with internet browser (normally Microsoft Edge or Chrome.

Microsoft teams app should be downloaded.(Do not need to create a new account)

Using a headset.
Test content
1. The test based on a recording played by a testing officer.

There are two dialogues(each of 300 words) in the test and they are based on a conversation between an English speaker & a speaker of your LOTE.

A recording will be played which the candidate has to interpret and translate.

Dialogues are divided into segments of maximum 35 words.
Applying for a NAATI CCL Test

Login to myNAATI and create an account, register your detailed information.

Upload your photograph and ID proof(driver’s license or passport) for verification and submit.

When your application has been approved, you will receive an email from NAATI CCL.

Login to your account and select a test date and location ( It is online test now).

Pay your test fees via credit card or direct deposit.

After payment, your test will be confirmed.
