ChatGPT app
Practise CCL dialogues inside ChatGPT
With the NAATI CCL Practice app you pick a dialogue in your language, hear each segment at exam speed, type or dictate your interpretation, and see which pieces of information you kept, changed or left out, next to a model answer.
Coming soon to ChatGPT's app directory.
How to use it
- Once it is listed, add NAATI CCL Practice from ChatGPT's apps directory, or type @NAATI CCL Practice in a chat.
- Ask for a dialogue, for example:Give me a Hindi NAATI CCL practice dialogue about health
- Press play on the card. The text stays hidden, as in the test, until you tap Show text.
- Type or dictate your interpretation in the chat. It is marked point by point, and you can go on to the next segment.
- Ask When is the next Nepali CCL test? for NAATI's listed sessions.
What it can do
- Dialogues: 2,700+ original practice dialogues in 50 languages, 12 segments each, with exam-speed audio. They are written for naaticcl.com; they are not NAATI's test material.
- Marking: which pieces of information you kept, changed or left out, the share of information kept, and where one is ready, a model answer with the points an examiner checks. The share is our AI marker's estimate, not a NAATI score.
- Test dates: the next sessions NAATI lists for your language. We check NAATI's test date search every 2 hours; NAATI updates its list about once a day, so confirm in myNAATI.
What's free
Everything in the app is free. Marking in ChatGPT is limited to 3 segments per person per day (it resets at 00:00 UTC), with daily totals per network and across all users. Listening, reading the text, model answers and test dates have no limit.
On naaticcl.com you can practise whole dialogues by speaking, as in the test: practise a dialogue.
What the app sees and keeps
- The app receives only what ChatGPT sends it for each request: the language or topic you ask about, the dialogue and segment numbers, the interpretation you want marked, and the anonymous user and conversation IDs that ChatGPT attaches. It never receives your chat history, your name or your email address, and no audio is recorded or sent.
- Your interpretation is sent to our marking model (Anthropic) to be marked and is not stored.
- To apply the daily limits we keep a count for each day under a one-way hash of the anonymous user ID that ChatGPT provides (or, when there is none, of the conversation ID or network address), and a one-way hash of the network address the request came from. The count contains no text. Daily counts are kept for up to 30 days and then deleted.
