Gestational Diabetes Test Results and Antenatal Care
Midwife (speaking English) and Pregnant Client (speaking Tamil) talk through “Gestational Diabetes Test Results and Antenatal Care”. You interpret both ways — English into Tamil, and Tamil into English — one segment at a time, exactly as in the CCL test.

Thanks for coming in today, Mrs. Kumaran. Your glucose tolerance test results have arrived, and I'd like to go over the next steps with you now.
Your blood sugar level after the test was slightly higher than normal. This can indicate gestational diabetes. We'll refer you to a dietitian to help manage your diet.
It's usually manageable with diet and monitoring. We'll refer you to Royal Hospital for Women's diabetes clinic, and you'll need to check your blood sugar four times daily.
It's just a small finger-prick, not a full injection. It's quick and mostly painless, and you won't need hospital visits unless your levels stay high.
Results usually come back within three days. Regarding work, you won't need full leave unless your levels stay uncontrolled — reduced hours may be enough for now.
Let's book your next appointment in two weeks. If you have concerns before then, you can call Pregnancy, Birth and Baby on their 24-hour helpline.
