Reporting a Robbery to Police
Police Officer (speaking English) and Shopkeeper (speaking Telugu) talk through “Reporting a Robbery to Police”. You interpret both ways — English into Telugu, and Telugu into English — one segment at a time, exactly as in the CCL test.

Mr. Chandra, please take a seat and walk me through exactly what happened at your convenience store on Thursday evening, starting from when you first noticed something wrong.
Did either of the two men display a weapon, such as a knife, or make any physical threats towards you during the robbery attempt?
Does your store have working CCTV cameras covering the counter area, and can you give me an estimate of how much cash was actually taken from the register?
Thank you for that detailed information, Mr. Chandra. I'll register this incident with Fairfield Police Station now and issue you an official event number for insurance purposes.
That event number should be sufficient for your claim, provided you also submit clear photos of the damaged till and any repair receipts you receive.
Good. Please also come into Fairfield Police Station tomorrow morning before ten o'clock to review and sign your written statement in person.
Terms in this dialogue that cost marks
CCL is marked on information transferred. These Australian terms have no direct word in most test languages — get one wrong and the segment's information is gone.
Practise it
Reading a transcript is not interpreting. The free daily dialogue on this site plays each segment at native speed, records you, and marks the information you transferred against the same categories examiners use — omissions, distortions, insertions — so you know where the marks went.

How the test works
Practice dialogue written to the CCL specification (two speakers, segments of 35 words or fewer, about 300 words). It is a practice text, not a NAATI test paper, and the AI score is this site's estimate, not a NAATI result. All Telugu dialogues · All languages
