Thank you for coming in today. Your son Ashish was caught with hidden notes during his Year 10 science exam yesterday afternoon, and we need to discuss it.
The exam supervisor saw him looking at notes twice during the fifty-minute test, and the notes matched the exam questions almost word for word.
Under NESA policy, he will only lose marks for that particular section, not the entire exam, provided this is confirmed as his first offence.
As long as it doesn't happen again, this incident won't affect his HSC eligibility, but a second offence could lead to suspension from school.
Yes, you may submit a written appeal to the school review panel within five school days if you believe the process was unfair or incomplete.
Yes, our school counsellor is available, and I recommend booking a session sometime next week; I'll give you the referral form before you leave.
Terms in this dialogue that cost marks
CCL is marked on information transferred. These Australian terms have no direct word in most test languages — get one wrong and the segment's information is gone.
Practise it
Reading a transcript is not interpreting. The free daily dialogue on this site plays each segment at native speed, records you, and marks the information you transferred against the same categories examiners use — omissions, distortions, insertions — so you know where the marks went.

How the test works
Practice dialogue written to the CCL specification (two speakers, segments of 35 words or fewer, about 300 words). It is a practice text, not a NAATI test paper, and the AI score is this site's estimate, not a NAATI result. All Nepali dialogues · All languages
