Puppy Registration with Local Council
Council Officer (speaking English) and Pet Owner (speaking Nepali) talk through “Puppy Registration with Local Council”. You interpret both ways — English into Nepali, and Nepali into English — one segment at a time, exactly as in the CCL test.

Thanks for coming in today. I've got your file here - I understand you've recently brought home a new puppy. Has she been registered with the council yet?
She needs to be registered before she turns six months old. You can complete this online through the NSW Pet Registry (or via your local council), but she'll need a microchip implanted first.
Desexing isn't mandatory unless she was adopted from a council pound, but you'll pay a lower registration fee if she's desexed before four months of age.
She must stay on a leash in public spaces unless you're in a designated off-leash area, such as part of Centennial Park.
Registration is a one-off lifetime fee, so there's no annual renewal needed once it's completed and confirmed by the council.
Yes, the microchip is separate and must be implanted by a registered vet before you finalise the registration online.
Terms in this dialogue that cost marks
CCL is marked on information transferred. These Australian terms have no direct word in most test languages — get one wrong and the segment's information is gone.

Reading a transcript is not interpreting. The free daily dialogue on this site plays each segment at native speed, records you, and marks the information you transferred against the same categories examiners use — omissions, distortions, insertions — so you know where the marks went.

How the test works
Practice dialogue written to the CCL specification (two speakers, segments of 35 words or fewer, about 300 words). It is a practice text, not a NAATI test paper, and the AI score is this site's estimate, not a NAATI result. All Nepali dialogues · All languages
