Congratulations on reaching twenty-six weeks. How have you been feeling since your last visit—any dizziness, headaches, or unusual swelling in your hands or feet?

At twenty-six weeks, we need to check for gestational diabetes. I'll book you for a glucose tolerance test at the Royal Hospital for Women next Thursday.
ඒ පරීක්ෂණයේදී මොනවද කරන්නේ? මට ඉඳිකටු ගැන ටිකක් බයයි.
You must not eat or drink anything except water for eight hours before the test, so please come in fasting that morning.

Don't worry, it's only a short procedure—two blood samples an hour apart. Results usually come back within three days, and I'll call you personally.
