Thanks for coming in today, Amina. You're now twenty-eight weeks pregnant, so we should organise your glucose tolerance test before next Wednesday. It's an important check.

The test checks for gestational diabetes, which can affect you and the baby if untreated. You'll need to fast for ten hours beforehand, then have blood taken three times over two hours.
