Hi, I'm Karen, an organiser with the United Workers Union. I'm visiting the Ballarat meat processing plant today to chat with staff about joining the union.

If you join, the union can support you with disputes, unfair rosters, or unsafe conditions on the floor. Membership also gives you free access to legal advice and representation.

Membership costs about nine dollars a week, deducted automatically from your pay each fortnight. It's completely optional, so you're free to cancel at any time without penalty.
