Let's talk about these headaches you've mentioned, Mrs. Santos. When did they first start, and how often are you experiencing them now, roughly?
Nagsimula po iyon mga anim na linggo na ang nakalipas, Doktora. Halos araw-araw po akong may sakit ng ulo, lalo na tuwing hapon.
Is the pain located on one side of your head or spread all over? Do you also notice any nausea, vomiting, or sensitivity to light?
Sa kanang bahagi po ng ulo ko mas madalas, parang kumukurot. Wala naman pong pagsusuka, pero minsan po ay nakakairita ang matinding liwanag.
That pattern sounds consistent with migraine rather than tension headache. Have you tried any medication for the pain, and roughly how often each week?
Umiinom po ako ng Panadol, dalawang tableta, mga tatlong beses kada linggo, pero hindi naman po gaanong gumagana.
Taking Panadol that frequently can actually trigger rebound headaches instead of relieving them. I'd like to refer you to a neurologist at Bendigo Health for further assessment.

Medicare covers most of the specialist consultation cost once you have a valid referral, though the current waiting time is usually around three to four weeks.

In the meantime, keep a headache diary noting triggers and timing, avoid taking Panadol every day, and come back sooner if the pain suddenly worsens.
