Mr Nel, today's eye test shows significant clouding in your left lens, and the pattern is consistent with early-stage cataracts affecting your central vision.

We can arrange day surgery to remove the cataract at the hospital; you won't need to stay overnight, and most patients go home within a few hours.

The public list at the Royal Adelaide Hospital currently runs about six weeks for cataract surgery, though private health cover could get you seen sooner, possibly within two weeks.
