Tell me exactly what's happened with the phone you bought from JB Hi-Fi last month, and what the store has said so far.
Did the store agree the phone is faulty, or did they only offer another repair instead of a full refund or replacement?
If the retailer refuses a refund, you can apply to NCAT, the tribunal that handles consumer disputes in New South Wales, for a formal hearing.
Oukei, dankie.
There's a modest filing fee when you lodge the application, which you can pay online through the NCAT website within a few minutes.
Ek verstaan.
That's fine - you don't need a formal repair report for this. Your receipt, the warranty card, and any messages with the store are enough evidence.
Goed, dit maak sin. Moet ek self by die aanhoor opdaag, of kan iemand anders namens my praat?
You should attend the hearing yourself, though you may bring a support person if you like. It will still proceed even if the store doesn't appear.

Reading a transcript is not interpreting. The free daily dialogue on this site plays each segment at native speed, records you, and marks the information you transferred against the same categories examiners use — omissions, distortions, insertions — so you know where the marks went.

How the test works
Practice dialogue written to the CCL specification (two speakers, segments of 35 words or fewer, about 300 words). It is a practice text, not a NAATI test paper, and the AI score is this site's estimate, not a NAATI result. All Afrikaans dialogues · All languages
