Supporting a Teenager Through an Eating Disorder Recovery Plan
Dietitian (speaking English) and Mother (speaking Afrikaans) talk through “Supporting a Teenager Through an Eating Disorder Recovery Plan”. You interpret both ways — English into Afrikaans, and Afrikaans into English — one segment at a time, exactly as in the CCL test.

Thanks for coming in, Mrs. Botha. Before Elke starts the outpatient program at Austin Health, I'd like to walk through her new meal plan with you.
Dankie dokter.
The plan includes three meals and two snacks daily, but we won't force large portions immediately. We'll increase quantities gradually over six weeks, based on her weight response.
Yes, she'll also see a psychologist weekly as part of family-based therapy. If her weight doesn't stabilise within four weeks, we may consider a short hospital admission.
Verstaan. Wanneer kan sy terugkeer skool toe? Ek moet ook by my werk verlof reël.
She can return part-time once her heart rate and weight are stable, usually after two to three weeks. We'll give you a letter for her school and your employer.
Goed, dankie.
Watch for skipped meals, excessive exercise, or withdrawal from family. If you notice any of these, call the clinic immediately rather than waiting for her next appointment.
Ek verstaan.
Your next appointment is Thursday at 10:30am. Please bring her food diary and the referral form from Austin Health reception.
Baie dankie, dokter.

How the test works
Practice dialogue written to the CCL specification (two speakers, segments of 35 words or fewer, about 300 words). It is a practice text, not a NAATI test paper, and the AI score is this site's estimate, not a NAATI result. All Afrikaans dialogues · All languages
