Joining a Public Library

Good morning, welcome to Parramatta City Library. Would you like to apply for a new membership card today, or do you already have one?

That's great to hear. Could you please show me a valid photo ID and some proof of your current residential address?

A rental agreement is fine, as long as it clearly shows your name and address. If it doesn't, we'll need another document, like a bank statement.

With a standard adult membership, you're allowed to borrow up to 20 items at once, and each item is loaned for three weeks.

You can renew your books online through our library's website whenever you like, but library membership and renewals are managed by the council library system, not Service NSW.

There's no late fee at our library, but you must return every item within three weeks, otherwise your account may be temporarily suspended.
