Good morning, Mrs Sharma. I'm your pre-admission nurse. Your surgery is scheduled for Thursday morning at Westmead Hospital, so I need to confirm a few details before you go home.
नमस्ते नर्स जी। हाँ, मुझे थोड़ा घबराहट हो रही है। कृपया बताइए मुझे क्या करना होगा।
Please arrive at the hospital at 7am, which is at least three hours before your operation begins at 10am. Don't eat or drink anything after midnight the night before.
ठीक है, तो मुझे आधी रात के बाद कुछ भी नहीं खाना-पीना है? दवाइयाँ भी नहीं ले सकती क्या?
You may take your regular blood pressure tablet with a small sip of water, but please avoid any other medication unless your surgeon has approved it.
समझ गई। अगर मुझे रात में अचानक तबीयत खराब लगे तो मुझे क्या करना चाहिए, सिस्टर?
If you feel unwell overnight, call the hospital's after-hours line immediately, and we may need to reschedule your admission.

Most patients stay for two nights, but if there are no complications, you could be discharged on the second day.

Yes, someone must collect you, as you won't be allowed to drive yourself home after the anaesthetic.
