Opening a Bank Account

Good morning, welcome to Commonwealth Bank. I understand you'd like to open a savings account today. Could I please see your passport and proof of address?

Yes, that's fine. Since you arrived only three weeks ago, we'll also need your Australian visa details for identification purposes. Do you have your visa grant number with you?

Perfect, thank you. I'll also need your Tax File Number, but if you haven't received it yet, we can still open the account without it for now.
