Parent-Teacher Meeting

Thanks for coming in today. Overall, your son has settled in well this term, and I would like to share both strengths and concerns.
谢谢老师。我们在家也想多配合学校。他最近回家总说数学难，我有点担心。
His reading has improved a lot, and he participates well in class. In maths, he understands the ideas but rushes and loses marks on details.
原来是这样。那我们在家能做点什么？要不要给他报一个课外的补习班？
Before paying for tutoring, try fifteen minutes of practice at home each evening. I can send home worksheets that match what we do in class.
这个办法好。他平时写作业容易分心，一会儿喝水一会儿玩笔，我们应该管得严一点吗？
Keep it positive. A quiet space, a set time, and a short break after each task usually work better than pressure at his age.
明白了。对了，他说下学期想参加学校的足球队，会不会影响学习？
Sport is good for him. Children who exercise often focus better in class. We just need to keep homework time consistent on training days.
那我就放心了。老师，期末前我们还能再约一次面谈吗？我想看看他有没有进步。
Of course. I will book a follow-up in week nine, and I will email you the worksheets by Friday this week.
