You can't serve him yourself since you're a party to the case; someone over eighteen, like a friend or process server, must do it.

If he doesn't respond within 28 days of being served, we can ask the court to finalise your divorce without waiting for his reply.

The person who serves him must sign an affidavit of service, confirming the exact date, time, and manner the documents were delivered to him.

If you genuinely can't locate him, we can apply to the court for substituted service, such as delivering documents through email or social media.

Once the court confirms service, a hearing date is usually listed about one month later, though you generally won't need to attend in person yourself.
