Living with Hepatitis B: A Follow-Up Consultation
Practice Nurse (speaking English) and Patient (speaking Portuguese) talk through “Living with Hepatitis B: A Follow-Up Consultation”. You interpret both ways — English into Portuguese, and Portuguese into English — one segment at a time, exactly as in the CCL test.

Mr. Andrade, thank you for coming in today. Your blood test confirms you carry Hepatitis B, but your liver function results look completely normal.
Enfermeira, isso quer dizer que estou doente? Fiquei preocupado, porque nunca tive nenhum sintoma antes disso.
It means the virus is in your blood, but you're not sick right now. We'll check your liver every six months at Concord Hospital.
It spreads through blood and body fluids, not through sharing food, cutlery, or hugging. Your wife should get vaccinated if she hasn't already.
Entendi.
The vaccine is free through Medicare and given in three doses over six months. She can book it at her regular GP clinic.
Certo, enfermeira. Então eu não preciso tomar nenhum remédio agora? Isso me deixou bem mais tranquilo.
You don't need medication right now, unless your viral load increases significantly. If that happens, I'll refer you to a liver specialist promptly.
Posso continuar trabalhando normalmente?
There are no work restrictions at this stage, but please avoid alcohol and come back in six months for your next blood test.
Terms in this dialogue that cost marks
CCL is marked on information transferred. These Australian terms have no direct word in most test languages — get one wrong and the segment's information is gone.
Practise it
Reading a transcript is not interpreting. The free daily dialogue on this site plays each segment at native speed, records you, and marks the information you transferred against the same categories examiners use — omissions, distortions, insertions — so you know where the marks went.

How the test works
Practice dialogue written to the CCL specification (two speakers, segments of 35 words or fewer, about 300 words). It is a practice text, not a NAATI test paper, and the AI score is this site's estimate, not a NAATI result. All Portuguese dialogues · All languages
