Brain Injury Follow-up Consultation
Neurologist (speaking English) and Patient's Daughter (speaking Punjabi) talk through “Brain Injury Follow-up Consultation”. You interpret both ways — English into Punjabi, and Punjabi into English — one segment at a time, exactly as in the CCL test.

Full transcript
Good morning, I'm Dr Sharma from Westmead Hospital's neurology team. Your father's CT scan today shows mild brain swelling, but thankfully no bleeding was detected.
He'll need to stay under observation for three days, because swelling can sometimes worsen before it settles.
Confusion right after a brain injury is common and usually improves over time. We'll monitor his speech, memory, and coordination closely during recovery.
He shouldn't do any heavy or strenuous work for at least six weeks. I'll refer him to a rehabilitation specialist for ongoing support.
Rehabilitation sessions will run twice a week at the community health centre here in Sydney, and the therapist will adjust the program as his recovery progresses.
Medicare covers his hospital stay and rehabilitation, though outpatient sessions may need a referral. I'd suggest confirming details with Medicare before discharge.
Terms in this dialogue that cost marks
CCL is marked on information transferred. These Australian terms have no direct word in most test languages — get one wrong and the segment's information is gone.

Reading a transcript is not interpreting. The free daily dialogue on this site plays each segment at native speed, records you, and marks the information you transferred against the same categories examiners use — omissions, distortions, insertions — so you know where the marks went.

How the test works
Practice dialogue written to the CCL specification (two speakers, segments of 35 words or fewer, about 300 words). It is a practice text, not a NAATI test paper, and the AI score is this site's estimate, not a NAATI result. All Punjabi dialogues · All languages
