Good morning, Mr Singh. Your eye examination shows early cataracts developing in both eyes, which explains why your vision has become blurry over the past few months.
ਡਾਕਟਰ ਜੀ, ਕੀ ਜੇ ਮੈਂ ਇਲਾਜ ਨਾ ਕਰਵਾਵਾਂ ਤਾਂ ਇਹ ਹੋਰ ਵਿਗੜ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ? ਮੈਨੂੰ ਪੜ੍ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਗੱਡੀ ਚਲਾਉਣ ਵਿੱਚ ਬਹੁਤ ਦਿੱਕਤ ਆ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ।
If left untreated, cataracts usually continue to worsen over time, but surgery can safely restore clear vision. Westmead Hospital currently has a specialist waiting list for this procedure.

The operation itself takes about twenty minutes under local anaesthetic, so you won't feel any pain, only a slight pressure sensation near the eye.

You must not drive for twenty-four hours after the surgery, and it's important that someone accompanies you home safely from the hospital.
