Interpreted Induction at the Community Kitchen
Volunteer coordinator (speaking English) and New adult volunteer (speaking Punjabi) talk through “Interpreted Induction at the Community Kitchen”. You interpret both ways — English into Punjabi, and Punjabi into English — one segment at a time, exactly as in the CCL test.

Welcome to Liverpool Community Kitchen, Mr Randhawa. I'm Helen, the volunteer coordinator. We'd like to arrange an interpreted induction for you. Would that help?
Yes, we can. Training is on 6 November at 10 am. There are three induction tasks: food safety, kitchen rules and handwashing. Does that date suit you?
Good. Then you'd volunteer two hours each Wednesday. If you can't lift heavy boxes, tell me, and we'll give you lighter duties, like serving.
Thank you for telling me. We won't ask you to lift anything heavy. Would you prefer serving meals, or helping in the kitchen with vegetables?
Good choice. We'll book a Punjabi interpreter for the induction. Please wear closed shoes and bring your own water bottle. Do you have any questions before the training?
Please arrive ten minutes early and sign in at the front desk. If you're sick, don't come; just phone me. We're glad you're joining us.

Reading a transcript is not interpreting. The practice room on this site plays each segment at native speed, records you, and marks the information you transferred against the same categories examiners use — omissions, distortions, insertions — so you know where the marks went.
