Thanks for coming in today, Mrs. Ramírez. Can you tell me what brought you to Royal North Shore Hospital's plastic surgery clinic this afternoon?
How long ago did the accident happen, and has the scar changed much since then, in terms of colour or texture?
The surgeon will examine the scar today and discuss the available options, including scar revision surgery or laser treatment, depending on how well it has healed so far.
Entiendo.
Medicare generally covers reconstructive surgery for injury-related scarring, but it won't cover a purely cosmetic revision if the scar is only cosmetically concerning.
¿Y si no está cubierto, cuánto costaría aproximadamente, y cuánto tiempo tomaría recuperarme?
The procedure usually takes about forty-five minutes under local anaesthetic, and in most cases you'd go home the same day as an outpatient.
There's always a small risk of further scarring or infection, and we won't proceed unless the scar has matured for at least twelve months.
Entiendo, doctor.
Terms in this dialogue that cost marks
CCL is marked on information transferred. These Australian terms have no direct word in most test languages — get one wrong and the segment's information is gone.

Reading a transcript is not interpreting. The free daily dialogue on this site plays each segment at native speed, records you, and marks the information you transferred against the same categories examiners use — omissions, distortions, insertions — so you know where the marks went.

How the test works
Practice dialogue written to the CCL specification (two speakers, segments of 35 words or fewer, about 300 words). It is a practice text, not a NAATI test paper, and the AI score is this site's estimate, not a NAATI result. All Spanish dialogues · All languages
