Before we lodge the divorce application, I must confirm one thing: have you and your husband lived separately for at least twelve months without getting back together?

You'll file the application with the Federal Circuit and Family Court of Australia. There's a filing fee, but you may qualify for a reduction if you hold a concession card.

Parenting arrangements are a separate application, not part of the divorce itself. You can apply to the same court, but it's handled independently.
