Mrs. Horvat, the X-ray shows your lower molar is badly infected and needs to come out today. We'll use a local anaesthetic, and the procedure takes about thirty minutes.

You won't feel pain, only pressure — the area will be fully numb. Since it's local anaesthetic only, you don't need to fast; eat a normal meal beforehand.
Mogu li uzeti paracetamol prije toga ako me jako boli, ili je bolje pričekati?
Yes, you can take paracetamol beforehand if needed, but avoid aspirin or ibuprofen — they increase bleeding. Take it with some food.
Koliko dugo traje utrnulost nakon toga i mogu li sama voziti kući?
The numbness usually lasts two to three hours. Unlike general anaesthesia, local anaesthetic doesn't affect your alertness, so you can safely drive yourself home.
