Before we finalise your consent form, let's go through your surgery scheduled for Thursday and what you'll need to do beforehand at home.
Opo, naiintindihan ko po. Ito po ba yung tungkol sa pag-alis ng aking gallbladder na napag-usapan namin kay Dr. Reyes noong isang linggo?
You may eat normally until midnight, but after that, no food or drink except clear fluids like water, which you can have up to two hours before your surgery.
Salamat po. Pero mayroon po akong iniinom na aspirin araw-araw para sa puso - kailangan ko na po bang itigil iyon?
If you're taking blood thinners such as aspirin or warfarin, please stop them five days before surgery unless your doctor tells you otherwise.
Sige po, ititigil ko na po ang aspirin simula bukas. Sasabihin ko rin po ito kay Dr. Reyes kapag nagpa-check-up ako sa Miyerkules.

On the morning of your surgery, please bring your Medicare card, a list of your current medications, and wear loose, comfortable clothing.
