Thanks for bringing Lucas in so quickly. Can you walk me through exactly what happened when he fell off the monkey bars today?
Il jouait aux barres de singe pendant la récréation et il est tombé d'environ un mètre cinquante. Il a perdu connaissance pendant environ dix secondes avant de se mettre à pleurer.
Has he vomited at all since arriving, or complained of blurred vision, dizziness, or a severe headache?
Non, il n'a pas vomi, mais il dit que sa tête lui fait très mal et qu'il voit un peu flou quand il regarde la lumière.
We'll keep Lucas here for observation for about four hours. If he vomits again or his headache worsens, we'll arrange a CT scan straight away.
D'accord, merci. Est-ce que je dois le garder à la maison demain, ou peut-il retourner à l'école s'il se sent mieux ce soir ?
Even if he improves, keep him home from school tomorrow, and follow up with your GP or Nepean Hospital's outpatient clinic if headaches continue.

You can give him the recommended dose of children's paracetamol every four to six hours if needed, but not more than four times in twenty-four hours.

Watch for repeated vomiting, extreme drowsiness, unequal pupils, or difficulty waking him. If any of these occur, bring him back immediately, day or night.
