Thank you for coming in today. I have your file here — you're looking to apply for an Apprehended Domestic Violence Order. Is now a safe time to talk?
The court can grant a provisional order today for your immediate safety, and a full hearing will be scheduled for a later date. Does that sound alright?
Your new address won't be given to him — the court keeps it confidential. The order can also set an exclusion zone around your home, at a distance the magistrate decides.
Yes, the order can include your children as protected persons too. It won't stop him from applying for family law contact, but that's a separate process.
If you agree, the magistrate can issue a provisional order this afternoon, valid until the full hearing date is set.
You can also contact the Domestic Violence Line on 1800 656 463 for practical support and referrals, or 1800RESPECT for counselling. Do you have any other questions before we proceed?
Terms in this dialogue that cost marks
CCL is marked on information transferred. These Australian terms have no direct word in most test languages — get one wrong and the segment's information is gone.

Reading a transcript is not interpreting. The free daily dialogue on this site plays each segment at native speed, records you, and marks the information you transferred against the same categories examiners use — omissions, distortions, insertions — so you know where the marks went.

How the test works
Practice dialogue written to the CCL specification (two speakers, segments of 35 words or fewer, about 300 words). It is a practice text, not a NAATI test paper, and the AI score is this site's estimate, not a NAATI result. All Mandarin dialogues · All languages
