Applying for a Divorce
Family Law Solicitor (speaking English) and Client (speaking Mandarin) talk through “Applying for a Divorce”. You interpret both ways — English into Mandarin, and Mandarin into English — one segment at a time, exactly as in the CCL test.

Full transcript
Good morning. Before we start, can you confirm that you and your husband have been separated for at least twelve months now, with no attempt at reconciliation?
是的,我们已经分居十四个月了,这期间没有再复合过,一直都是分开生活的。
That's fine, as long as you can show the court that you were living separately, even while still under one roof.
我们有一个孩子,九岁,我很担心离婚后监护权要怎么安排。
If you have a child under eighteen, you'll need a parenting plan first, or the court won't finalise the divorce order.
目前孩子跟我一起住,她爸爸每个周末会来看她,我们私下已经谈好了监护安排。
Good. You'll apply online through the Federal Circuit and Family Court of Australia, uploading the signed parenting agreement together with your application form.
申请的费用大概要多少?如果我们经济上有困难,是不是可以申请减免?
There is a filing fee, but if you're experiencing financial hardship, you can apply directly to the court itself for a fee reduction.
那大概需要多久才能拿到离婚判决书?我们需不需要出庭?
If the application is uncontested, you usually won't need to attend court at all, and a decision typically follows about four weeks later.
太好了,那我最担心的出庭问题总算解决了,谢谢你。
Terms in this dialogue that cost marks
CCL is marked on information transferred. These Australian terms have no direct word in most test languages — get one wrong and the segment's information is gone.
- federal circuit说“联邦巡回法院”,如上下文允许可加“(现与家庭法院合并)”。
- family court说“家庭法院”即可。
- financial hardship译为“经济困难”或“财务困难”。

Reading a transcript is not interpreting. The free daily dialogue on this site plays each segment at native speed, records you, and marks the information you transferred against the same categories examiners use — omissions, distortions, insertions — so you know where the marks went.

How the test works
Practice dialogue written to the CCL specification (two speakers, segments of 35 words or fewer, about 300 words). It is a practice text, not a NAATI test paper, and the AI score is this site's estimate, not a NAATI result. All Mandarin dialogues · All languages
