Reporting a Hit-and-Run to Police
Police Officer (speaking English) and Client (speaking Marathi) talk through “Reporting a Hit-and-Run to Police”. You interpret both ways — English into Marathi, and Marathi into English — one segment at a time, exactly as in the CCL test.

Thank you for coming into Wollongong Police Station this morning to report yesterday's hit-and-run near Crown Street. Can you walk me through exactly what happened?
Did you notice the registration number, or any details about the driver, the vehicle, or its direction before it left the scene?
Were you or anyone nearby injured in the collision, and did any witnesses actually see it happen clearly?
I'll now register this as an official incident report and assign you an event number, which you will need later for your insurance claim.
You can contact your insurer as soon as you receive the event number, and provide them with your policy details plus a copy of this report.
Investigation timeframes can vary a lot depending on evidence and witness statements; if there's any update, or if we need further information, we will contact you directly.
Terms in this dialogue that cost marks
CCL is marked on information transferred. These Australian terms have no direct word in most test languages — get one wrong and the segment's information is gone.
Practise it
Reading a transcript is not interpreting. The free daily dialogue on this site plays each segment at native speed, records you, and marks the information you transferred against the same categories examiners use — omissions, distortions, insertions — so you know where the marks went.

How the test works
Practice dialogue written to the CCL specification (two speakers, segments of 35 words or fewer, about 300 words). It is a practice text, not a NAATI test paper, and the AI score is this site's estimate, not a NAATI result. All Marathi dialogues · All languages
