Good morning, Mr Gurung. I'm here to discuss your Age Pension application. Could you please confirm your date of birth and how many years you have lived in Australia?

Thank you. To qualify, you generally need ten years of Australian residence, including at least five years continuous, unless you qualify for a specific exemption.

Twelve years meets the residency requirement. We'll also need to assess your assets and income under the means test used by Services Australia.

You can verify your identity through myGov, the Centrelink app, or a Services Australia service centre; Australia Post can also verify some documents, and certified copies are fine.

Typically around three weeks after we receive all documents, but it cannot be finalised sooner if any paperwork is missing or incomplete.

Terms in this dialogue that cost marks
CCL is marked on information transferred. These Australian terms have no direct word in most test languages — get one wrong and the segment's information is gone.
