Applying for a Partner Visa (Permanent Residency)
Caseworker (speaking English) and Client (speaking Nepali) talk through “Applying for a Partner Visa (Permanent Residency)”. You interpret both ways — English into Nepali, and Nepali into English — one segment at a time, exactly as in the CCL test.

Full transcript
Good morning, thank you for coming in. The Department of Home Affairs needs to know which visa subclass you are applying for, and your case number.
You'll need a police clearance certificate from Nepal, your marriage certificate, and evidence of a genuine relationship, such as joint bank statements or photos.
You can submit a certified English translation later, as long as it's ready before we lodge your application with the Department.
Police certificates are valid for twelve months from issue date, so at ten months yours is still valid; no renewal needed yet.
You can continue working while your application is being processed, provided your current visa remains valid and you meet its conditions.
Yes, you can include your child as a dependent, but you must provide their birth certificate and evidence you are not separated from your partner.
Terms in this dialogue that cost marks
CCL is marked on information transferred. These Australian terms have no direct word in most test languages — get one wrong and the segment's information is gone.
Practise it
Reading a transcript is not interpreting. The free daily dialogue on this site plays each segment at native speed, records you, and marks the information you transferred against the same categories examiners use — omissions, distortions, insertions — so you know where the marks went.

How the test works
Practice dialogue written to the CCL specification (two speakers, segments of 35 words or fewer, about 300 words). It is a practice text, not a NAATI test paper, and the AI score is this site's estimate, not a NAATI result. All Nepali dialogues · All languages
