Thanks for coming in today, Mrs Karimi. We're here to discuss breast reconstruction options following your mastectomy at Liverpool Hospital, and answer any questions you have.

There are risks, such as infection, bleeding, or poor wound healing, but we monitor you closely throughout. Full recovery usually takes about six weeks, sometimes longer.

You shouldn't return to work before six weeks, especially if your job involves lifting, driving, or other physical activity requiring strength.

We can use a silicone implant or your own tissue, called a DIEP flap, taken from your abdomen. Each option has different benefits, risks, and recovery times.
که زه خپل نسج غوره کړم، ایا زخم به لوی وي؟ زه غواړم چې کم زخم پاتې شي.
Scarring depends on which method we choose, and also your body type and skin condition. We'll go through the best option for you together.

We can schedule your surgery for Thursday the 12th of March, provided your blood tests and chest X-ray come back clear beforehand.
