Good morning, Mr Singh. Your blood pressure today is one hundred and fifty over ninety-five, which is higher than normal. Have you had headaches or dizziness recently?
This is called hypertension. You need to reduce salt, walk for thirty minutes daily, and avoid fried snacks. If you don't make these changes, your blood pressure won't improve.
Dal is fine without added salt, but achaar has a lot of salt, so please eat it only occasionally, maybe once a week.
Medication isn't needed yet. We will try diet and exercise first, and only prescribe tablets if your pressure stays high after four weeks.
You can buy a home blood pressure monitor from a pharmacy like the pharmacy. Check it twice daily, morning and evening, and write down the numbers.
Let's book your follow-up here at this clinic in four weeks. If your readings are still high then, we will start medication.
