Mr Randhawa, your ultrasound showed a mass on your liver, and we need further tests to understand exactly what it is.
ਡਾਕਟਰ ਜੀ, ਕੀ ਇਹ ਪੱਕਾ ਕੈਂਸਰ ਹੀ ਹੈ ਜਾਂ ਕੁਝ ਹੋਰ ਵੀ ਹੋ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ? ਮੈਨੂੰ ਬਹੁਤ ਡਰ ਲੱਗ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ।
I understand your worry, but the scan alone doesn't confirm cancer — it could be a cyst or benign growth. A biopsy will give us the definite answer.

You won't feel pain during the biopsy — we'll give you local anaesthetic and light sedation, so you'll be comfortable throughout. We can book it for Thursday morning.

If surgery is needed, you'd likely need about ten days off work to recover fully. Before that, we also need some blood tests to check your liver function.
