Hi, I'm Sarah, the emergency nurse here tonight at Liverpool Hospital. Can you tell me exactly when your breathing first became difficult this evening?
Het begon rond negen uur vanavond, na het hardlopen. Mijn borst voelde heel benauwd en ik moest steeds hoesten.
Have you used your salbutamol inhaler at home tonight before coming in, and if so, how many puffs did you actually take?
Ja, ik heb vier keer mijn ventolin gebruikt, maar het hielp niet echt, mijn ademhaling bleef zwaar.
Do you have any known allergies to medications, particularly ones used for asthma treatment, like salbutamol, ipratropium or oral steroids?
Nee, voor zover ik weet heb ik geen allergieën voor medicijnen. Ik maak me wel zorgen om mijn werk morgen.
We'll start nebulised salbutamol through this mask now for about ten minutes, while I keep monitoring your oxygen saturation closely on this bedside monitor.

You'll need to stay here for observation for at least two hours tonight, provided your oxygen saturation keeps improving steadily and you don't need another nebuliser.
