Gestational Diabetes Screening Follow-up
Midwife (speaking English) and Client (speaking Indonesian) talk through “Gestational Diabetes Screening Follow-up”. You interpret both ways — English into Indonesian, and Indonesian into English — one segment at a time, exactly as in the CCL test.

Your glucose tolerance test showed one reading slightly above the normal range, so I'd like to talk through what that means for you.
Oh begitu... saya agak khawatir mendengarnya. Apakah ini berarti saya menderita diabetes, Bu?
Not necessarily. One high reading out of three doesn't confirm diabetes, but we usually repeat the test to check more carefully.
Baik, saya mengerti. Tapi apakah kadar gula tinggi ini berbahaya untuk bayi saya kalau memang benar diabetes?
Uncontrolled high glucose can affect your baby's growth, but with early monitoring and diet changes, most babies stay healthy. For the repeat test, please fast for eight hours beforehand.
Baik, saya akan puasa selama delapan jam. Apakah saya boleh minum air putih saja selama itu?
Yes, plain water is fine, but avoid tea, coffee or juice. Please come to John Hunter Hospital at eight o'clock Thursday morning.
Baik, Bu. Apakah saya perlu mengambil cuti kerja untuk datang jam segitu?
The test usually takes about two hours including the blood draws, so it's best to arrange time off if you can.
Baik, saya akan minta izin dari kantor. Kapan saya bisa tahu hasilnya?
Results should be ready within three working days; if we don't see improvement, we may refer you to a specialist obstetrician.
Baik, Bu. Terima kasih banyak atas penjelasannya, saya akan datang tepat waktu hari Kamis.

Reading a transcript is not interpreting. The free daily dialogue on this site plays each segment at native speed, records you, and marks the information you transferred against the same categories examiners use — omissions, distortions, insertions — so you know where the marks went.

How the test works
Practice dialogue written to the CCL specification (two speakers, segments of 35 words or fewer, about 300 words). It is a practice text, not a NAATI test paper, and the AI score is this site's estimate, not a NAATI result. All Indonesian dialogues · All languages
