Head Injury Assessment in Emergency Department
Emergency Nurse (speaking English) and Mother (speaking Indonesian) talk through “Head Injury Assessment in Emergency Department”. You interpret both ways — English into Indonesian, and Indonesian into English — one segment at a time, exactly as in the CCL test.

Full transcript
Before we start the examination, can you tell me exactly what happened when your son fell off his skateboard this afternoon near the park?
Did he lose consciousness at any point after the fall, and has he vomited or complained of nausea or blurred vision since then?
Tidak, dia belum muntah sama sekali, tapi tadi sempat terlihat agak bingung dan matanya berkedip-kedip selama beberapa detik sebelum akhirnya menangis keras.
Given the brief loss of consciousness, we'll need to keep him here at Liverpool Hospital for four hours for observation before considering discharge.
Baik, saya mengerti.
Once you're home, if he vomits again, seems unusually drowsy, or complains of a severe headache, bring him back to the emergency department immediately.
He shouldn't play any contact sport, including football or skateboarding, for at least two full weeks, even if he feels completely fine sooner.
Baik, saya paham. Kalau dia mengeluh sakit kepala di rumah nanti malam, obat apa yang aman saya berikan untuknya?
You can give him paracetamol for pain if needed, but please avoid ibuprofen or aspirin unless the doctor specifically approves it.
Terima kasih banyak, Suster.
Terms in this dialogue that cost marks
CCL is marked on information transferred. These Australian terms have no direct word in most test languages — get one wrong and the segment's information is gone.
Practise it
Reading a transcript is not interpreting. The free daily dialogue on this site plays each segment at native speed, records you, and marks the information you transferred against the same categories examiners use — omissions, distortions, insertions — so you know where the marks went.

How the test works
Practice dialogue written to the CCL specification (two speakers, segments of 35 words or fewer, about 300 words). It is a practice text, not a NAATI test paper, and the AI score is this site's estimate, not a NAATI result. All Indonesian dialogues · All languages
