Before your knee replacement surgery at Liverpool Hospital tomorrow, I need to go through a few important pre-operative details with you now.
Baik, Suster. Saya sudah siap. Tapi saya ingin tahu, apakah saya harus berpuasa sebelum operasi besok?
Yes, you must stop eating and drinking completely six hours before your surgery, which is scheduled for seven thirty tomorrow morning at the hospital.
Baik, saya mengerti soal puasanya. Tapi Suster, apakah nanti rasa sakitnya bisa diobati dengan baik setelah operasi?
Yes, absolutely, we'll give you strong pain relief through an intravenous drip, plus regular tablets afterwards, so your pain stays well controlled throughout recovery.

That's not a problem at all; if you're allergic to penicillin, the surgical team will use a different antibiotic that's completely safe for you.
