Joining the Union at the Warehouse
Union Organiser (speaking English) and Warehouse Worker (speaking Indonesian) talk through “Joining the Union at the Warehouse”. You interpret both ways — English into Indonesian, and Indonesian into English — one segment at a time, exactly as in the CCL test.

Thanks for meeting me during your break today — I wanted to explain what the SDA union can offer workers here at the Dandenong distribution centre.
Kalau saya ikut serikat ini, sebenarnya apa untungnya buat saya? Terus, berapa biayanya per minggu, Pak?
Members get free legal advice, help negotiating pay disputes, and support if you're ever unfairly dismissed from your job. It's three dollars fifty a week, taken straight from your pay each fortnight.
Baik, kalau misalnya saya pindah kerja nanti, apakah keanggotaan saya otomatis berhenti begitu saja?
No, your membership doesn't automatically end if you change jobs — you can transfer to any workplace covered by the SDA agreement across Australia.
Oh, begitu ya. Kalau saya sudah yakin mau daftar, bagaimana caranya? Apa harus isi formulir yang panjang dan rumit?
You just fill in one short form today, and I'll register you directly with the SDA — no need to visit any office in person.
Saya agak khawatir juga, Pak. Apakah bos saya bisa marah atau bahkan memecat saya kalau ketahuan saya gabung serikat?
Employers can't legally punish or dismiss you for joining a union — the Fair Work Act protects your right to organise at work.
Baiklah, saya merasa lebih tenang sekarang. Kalau saya tanda tangan sekarang, apa kartu keanggotaannya langsung saya terima hari ini juga?
Sign here, keep this copy for your own records, and your union membership card will arrive within about two weeks by post.
Terima kasih banyak, Pak. Saya lega mendengar penjelasannya, dan saya siap gabung sekarang juga.
Terms in this dialogue that cost marks
CCL is marked on information transferred. These Australian terms have no direct word in most test languages — get one wrong and the segment's information is gone.
- fair workGunakan tetap nama 'Fair Work' sebagai nama lembaga, bisa ditambah 'badan ketenagakerjaan Australia' untuk konteks bila diperlukan.
Practise it
Reading a transcript is not interpreting. The free daily dialogue on this site plays each segment at native speed, records you, and marks the information you transferred against the same categories examiners use — omissions, distortions, insertions — so you know where the marks went.

How the test works
Practice dialogue written to the CCL specification (two speakers, segments of 35 words or fewer, about 300 words). It is a practice text, not a NAATI test paper, and the AI score is this site's estimate, not a NAATI result. All Indonesian dialogues · All languages
