Overcharged at Checkout
Consumer Affairs Advisor (speaking English) and 顾客 (speaking Indonesian) talk through “Overcharged at Checkout”. You interpret both ways — English into Indonesian, and Indonesian into English — one segment at a time, exactly as in the CCL test.

Can you walk me through exactly what happened when the store charged you more than the price shown on the tag?
Saya membeli jaket di Westfield Hurstville minggu lalu. Label harga menunjukkan delapan puluh sembilan dolar, tapi saat saya bayar di kasir, saya dikenakan seratus sembilan dolar.
How much extra were you charged compared to the price tag, and do you still have the receipt or a photo of it?
Selisihnya dua puluh dolar.
First, write to the store manager, either by letter or email, clearly explaining the overcharge and requesting a full refund of the difference.
Baik, saya mengerti.
Email is usually best since it keeps a clear record with a timestamp; you don't need to post a letter unless the store specifically asks for one.
If the store doesn't reply, or refuses to refund you, you can contact NSW Fair Trading, who may help mediate the dispute before it escalates further.
Baik, saya paham soal NSW Fair Trading.
There's no fixed waiting period required, but it's reasonable to give the store around ten days to respond before applying to NCAT, which charges a filing fee.
Terms in this dialogue that cost marks
CCL is marked on information transferred. These Australian terms have no direct word in most test languages — get one wrong and the segment's information is gone.
Practise it
Reading a transcript is not interpreting. The free daily dialogue on this site plays each segment at native speed, records you, and marks the information you transferred against the same categories examiners use — omissions, distortions, insertions — so you know where the marks went.

How the test works
Practice dialogue written to the CCL specification (two speakers, segments of 35 words or fewer, about 300 words). It is a practice text, not a NAATI test paper, and the AI score is this site's estimate, not a NAATI result. All Indonesian dialogues · All languages
