Good afternoon, Mrs Conti. How have you been feeling since your last visit, and are you now around twenty-six weeks pregnant?
Buon pomeriggio dottoressa. Mi sento abbastanza bene, ma ho un po' di gonfiore alle caviglie e mi stanco facilmente durante la giornata.
That's fairly common at this stage. I'd like to check your blood pressure and organise a glucose tolerance test for next Thursday at Blacktown Hospital.
Va bene, dottoressa. Devo digiunare prima del test, o posso fare colazione come al solito quella mattina?
Yes, you'll need to fast for at least eight hours beforehand. If you eat or drink anything sweet before the test, the results won't be accurate.
Capisco, quindi niente colazione quella mattina. Posso almeno bere un po' d'acqua prima di arrivare in ospedale?
Water is fine, but please avoid tea, coffee or juice. Bring the referral form with you when you arrive at the clinic.

If you notice reduced movements again, don't wait for your next appointment. Call the hospital's maternity assessment unit immediately, any time of day.

Paracetamol is safe in the recommended dose, but please don't take ibuprofen or aspirin unless I specifically prescribe them for you.
