Booking a First Antenatal Appointment
Nurse (speaking English) and Pregnant Client (speaking Mandarin) talk through “Booking a First Antenatal Appointment”. You interpret both ways — English into Mandarin, and Mandarin into English — one segment at a time, exactly as in the CCL test.

Welcome, and congratulations on your pregnancy. Today we'll book your first antenatal appointment at Westmead Hospital and go over some important initial health checks together.
谢谢你。这是我第一次怀孕,对整个产检流程不太清楚,能不能麻烦你详细说明一下?
Of course. You'll need a referral letter from your GP, and we recommend booking your first hospital visit before 10 weeks if possible for early monitoring.
好的,我上周已经去看了家庭医生,他给了我转诊信,但我还没有预约医院,请问具体要怎么预约呢?
You can call Westmead Hospital's antenatal clinic directly on their booking line to arrange a time; the app isn't used for hospital appointments.
明白了,那我今天就打电话预约。如果医院说最近没有名额,我应该怎么办呢?
If there are no immediate slots available, ask to be placed on the waiting list, or your GP can refer you to another nearby public hospital instead.
好的,谢谢你。另外我最近总是感到恶心和疲倦,这是正常的吗?还是需要马上去看医生?
Nausea and fatigue are quite common in early pregnancy, but if you experience severe vomiting, dizziness, or bleeding, you should seek medical care immediately.
我目前没有出血,只是偶尔恶心,那我大概应该多久做一次产检比较合适呢?
Typically, you'll have a check-up every four weeks until around 28 weeks, then more frequently as your due date gets closer.
太好了,我之前还担心要经常跑医院,现在知道大概四周产检一次就放心多了,谢谢。
Terms in this dialogue that cost marks
CCL is marked on information transferred. These Australian terms have no direct word in most test languages — get one wrong and the segment's information is gone.
- referral letter译为“转诊信”,是医疗系统中通用且准确的说法。
- waiting list译为“等候名单”或“排队名单”,两者都可以接受。
- public hospital说“公立医院”。

Reading a transcript is not interpreting. The free daily dialogue on this site plays each segment at native speed, records you, and marks the information you transferred against the same categories examiners use — omissions, distortions, insertions — so you know where the marks went.

How the test works
Practice dialogue written to the CCL specification (two speakers, segments of 35 words or fewer, about 300 words). It is a practice text, not a NAATI test paper, and the AI score is this site's estimate, not a NAATI result. All Mandarin dialogues · All languages
