Back Pain Physiotherapy Consultation
Physiotherapist (speaking English) and Patient (speaking Sinhala) talk through “Back Pain Physiotherapy Consultation”. You interpret both ways — English into Sinhala, and Sinhala into English — one segment at a time, exactly as in the CCL test.

Thanks for coming in today, Mr. Gunawardena. Your GP mentioned you've had lower back pain for about two weeks — can you tell me how it started?
On a scale of one to ten, how would you rate the pain right now, and does it get worse when you bend or sit for long periods?
Have you noticed any numbness or tingling down your leg, and has the pain woken you at night?
Let's start physiotherapy twice a week for two weeks. Avoid heavy lifting, and if there's no improvement by then, I'll refer you for an X-ray.
For now, please avoid lifting anything over five kilograms and stick to light duties at work. Let's review your progress next Thursday.
Paracetamol should help manage the pain for now. If it becomes severe or you lose bladder control, go straight to Wollongong Hospital's emergency department.
Terms in this dialogue that cost marks
CCL is marked on information transferred. These Australian terms have no direct word in most test languages — get one wrong and the segment's information is gone.

Reading a transcript is not interpreting. The free daily dialogue on this site plays each segment at native speed, records you, and marks the information you transferred against the same categories examiners use — omissions, distortions, insertions — so you know where the marks went.

How the test works
Practice dialogue written to the CCL specification (two speakers, segments of 35 words or fewer, about 300 words). It is a practice text, not a NAATI test paper, and the AI score is this site's estimate, not a NAATI result. All Sinhala dialogues · All languages
