Thanks for coming in today, Mr. Lefebvre—could you tell me exactly when this lower back pain started and what you were doing at that time?
On a scale from zero to ten, how severe is the pain right now, and does it radiate down either leg or into your foot?
I'll gently press along your spine and hips now—please tell me straight away if anything feels sharp, numb or unusually painful.
Your muscles are quite tight, but there's no sign of nerve damage, so I'd recommend gentle stretching, short daily walks, and no heavy lifting.
If the pain hasn't improved within two weeks, I'll refer you for an X-ray at Westmead Hospital to rule out anything more serious.
Let's schedule a follow-up in three weeks' time, on a Thursday afternoon at half past two, so we can review your progress and adjust the plan.
Merci beaucoup, madame.
