Thanks for coming in today, Camille. Your GP mentioned you've lost some weight recently over the past month — can you tell me how meals have been going?
Honnêtement, je saute souvent le petit-déjeuner et je me contente d'un café. J'ai l'impression de perdre le contrôle si je mange davantage.
Do you ever make yourself sick after eating, or feel compelled to exercise for at least an hour, no matter how tired you are?
Oui, ça m'arrive de me faire vomir, surtout le soir, et je cours presque tous les jours, même quand je suis épuisée.
I'd like to refer you to the eating disorder program at Concord Hospital. First we'll need some blood tests to check you're medically stable.
D'accord... est-ce que ça veut dire une hospitalisation, ou est-ce que je pourrai continuer à aller au travail ?
It's an eight-week outpatient program, three sessions a week, unless your bloods show you need admission for safety monitoring instead.
Est-ce que ma famille devra être impliquée ? J'ai un peu honte de tout ça, je ne veux pas qu'ils s'inquiètent trop.
Family sessions are optional, not compulsory, and you can decide later. You'll also have a dietitian and a psychologist supporting you throughout the program.
Merci, ça me rassure un peu. Est-ce que je devrai payer pour toutes ces séances, ou est-ce remboursé par Medicare ?
Medicare should cover most of the ten sessions if your GP's mental health plan is valid, though some clinics may charge a small gap fee.
