Thanks for coming in so quickly. I'm Nurse Claire - I have your file here noting your eye's been red and irritated. What's been happening?
नमस्ते नर्स, पिछले दो दिनों से मेरी दायीं आँख बहुत लाल है और उसमें से पीला, चिपचिपा पानी निकल रहा है, साथ ही जलन भी हो रही है।
How long has this been going on, and is it affecting one eye or both? Is there any discharge, and what color is it?
यह दो दिन पहले शुरू हुआ था, पहले सिर्फ दायीं आँख में था, लेकिन अब बायीं आँख में भी हल्की लालिमा आ रही है, और डिस्चार्ज पीला-सा है।
This looks like acute infective conjunctivitis, an eye infection that's quite contagious. Medicare will cover today's consultation, so there's no extra cost for this visit.
क्या यह गंभीर संक्रमण है? क्या मुझे कोई दवा या आई ड्रॉप्स लेनी होंगी, और यह कितने दिनों में ठीक हो जाएगा?
I'll prescribe antibiotic eye drops. Use one drop in the affected eye four times a day for seven days, and wash your hands before each application.

You shouldn't go to work until the discharge clears, usually two to three days. Please don't share towels or pillows with family members at home.
