Cataract Surgery Referral and Pre-Op Instructions
Nurse (speaking English) and Patient (speaking Indonesian) talk through “Cataract Surgery Referral and Pre-Op Instructions”. You interpret both ways — English into Indonesian, and Indonesian into English — one segment at a time, exactly as in the CCL test.

Your ophthalmologist has referred you to Sydney Eye Hospital for a cataract assessment, since your vision has been getting cloudier over recent months.
Baik, terima kasih. Saya agak khawatir, Suster. Apakah operasi katarak ini rumit, atau prosesnya sederhana saja?
It's usually a day procedure, taking about twenty to thirty minutes, done under local anaesthetic, so you won't need a general anaesthetic or overnight stay.
Syukurlah kalau begitu tidak terlalu berat. Tapi berapa lama saya harus menunggu sebelum bisa dijadwalkan operasi?
The current waiting list is roughly eight weeks, unless your vision deteriorates quickly, in which case the hospital can bring your surgery forward.
Baik, saya mengerti. Tapi saya sedang minum obat pengencer darah, apakah itu akan menjadi masalah untuk operasinya?
Please tell the surgeon exactly which blood thinner you're taking, because some medications must be paused beforehand, while others can safely continue.
Saya minum warfarin setiap hari. Apa yang sebaiknya saya lakukan sebelum tanggal operasi nanti?
See your GP soon so they can review your warfarin dose, but don't stop taking it yourself without medical advice first.
Baik, akan saya lakukan itu minggu ini. Lalu, apakah saya perlu berpuasa sebelum operasi?
Yes, fast for six hours before your admission time, no solid food, though you may still drink clear fluids like water until two hours prior.
Baik, saya paham semuanya sekarang. Terima kasih banyak atas penjelasannya, Suster.
Terms in this dialogue that cost marks
CCL is marked on information transferred. These Australian terms have no direct word in most test languages — get one wrong and the segment's information is gone.
- waiting listTerjemahkan sebagai 'daftar tunggu', istilah yang lazim dipakai.

Reading a transcript is not interpreting. The free daily dialogue on this site plays each segment at native speed, records you, and marks the information you transferred against the same categories examiners use — omissions, distortions, insertions — so you know where the marks went.

How the test works
Practice dialogue written to the CCL specification (two speakers, segments of 35 words or fewer, about 300 words). It is a practice text, not a NAATI test paper, and the AI score is this site's estimate, not a NAATI result. All Indonesian dialogues · All languages
