Good morning, I'm your solicitor from Legal Aid NSW. Please tell me exactly and calmly what happened on the night you were charged with assault near Central Station.
那天晚上大概十一点，我下班走路回家，经过中央车站附近的时候，一个陌生男人突然从后面抓住我的衣领，还骂我。
Did you know this man before that night, and did you say or do anything to provoke him before he grabbed your collar?
我们不认识，以前从来没见过面。我什么都没做，也没说话，他就突然抓住我的衣领，还威胁说要打我。
How many times did you push him back before he let go, and did either of you suffer any injuries during the struggle?

Before he grabbed you, did he threaten you verbally, and did you try to walk away or call for help before the incident escalated?

For self-defense to apply, your response must be reasonable and proportionate to the threat; if you used excessive force, the defense may not succeed.
