Good afternoon, Mr Deshmukh. Thanks for coming to Blacktown Medical Centre today—what's brought on this blocked feeling in your ear?
डॉक्टर, गेल्या पाच दिवसांपासून माझा उजवा कान बंद झाल्यासारखा वाटतोय, आवाज नीट ऐकू येत नाहीये आणि जड वाटतंय.
Any pain, discharge, or fever alongside this? Have you been swimming at Bondi Beach recently, or used cotton buds inside your ear?
नाही डॉक्टर, दुखत नाहीये आणि ताप पण नाहीये. गेल्या शनिवारी मी बॉंडाय बीचवर पोहायला गेलो होतो, कदाचित तेव्हापासून पाणी आत गेलं असेल.
Looking with the otoscope, I can see a large build-up of earwax completely blocking the ear canal. We'll try softening drops first, not irrigation yet.

Use the drops for three days first. If your hearing doesn't improve, our nurse can perform ear irrigation next week.

Put five drops into the ear twice daily, morning and night, for three days. Lie on your side for five minutes so they penetrate fully.

Please avoid swimming or inserting anything into your ear until it feels completely clear, and return immediately if you develop pain, fever, or worsening hearing loss.
